After the opening of the brewery, we dedicated ourselves to the topic of spirits. We developed a brand. We call it Rheinbrand. A play on words from the river Rhine, which inspires us, and the process of distilling spirits. The Rhine is a myth and has always been surrounded by sagas and legends. Along its banks, Switzerland, Germany, France and Holland are home to an inexhaustible source of local products. A wonderful base for spirits of all kinds. The products should be a tribute and a declaration of love to this mighty river and its countries. So our first product under this umbrella is a gin.
The contents of this noble gin have been carefully selected. Our intention is to integrate the regions along the Rhine with their wonderful and natural products into the gin. The result is a drink that combines natural products from all regions. The production is also according to the specifications for the quality label London Dry Gin. The result is a gin with character: the juniper note is classic, with a beautiful freshness and filigree herb and citrus note. It tastes soft, with a beautiful complexity and reveals great harmony in the integration of botanicals thanks to proven craftsmanship.
For the realization and production of the gin, we have teamed up with two proven specialists. They are: Ruedi Käser: The distiller and producer of the gin runs the local farm "Käsers Schloss" in Elfingen in the canton of Aargau with its own distillery. He always surprises with his products, wins numerous awards and is one of the leading distilleries in Switzerland. His credo is "handcrafted" and in terms of the quality of his products he knows no compromises. He distills our gin in small batches of 500 bottles, filled by hand. www.kaesers-schloss.ch
Adrian Baumgartner: He is a proven expert in the fields of wine and spirits. He is the first graduate of the wine academy in Northwestern Switzerland and holds a Diploma in Wine & Spirits from WSET in London as well as a diploma from Wädenswil University. Baumgartner has already very successfully launched a gin. The development, production and launch of the Dry Gin Ojo de Agua with Dieter Meier and Oliver Matter, who won a gold medal at Distisuisse, goes back to him. And so we are pleased to present our gin to you. We are looking forward to your feedback. Of course you can also buy Rheinbrand in our wine shop Falstaff.
