A foie gras Gugelhupf once marked the beginning of an extraordinary story: Teufelhof founder Monika Kneschaurek discovered Michael Baader’s recipe in a cookbook and, without ever having met him, wrote to him in Germany. She invited him to Basel – and ultimately convinced him to become Head Chef at the Teufelhof.
37 years later, on his very last day at work, Michael Baader invites guests to join him at the table one final time. A very special evening that brings a defining chapter of Teufelhof history back to life through food – with a 5-course menu, wine pairing and, of course, the legendary foie gras Gugelhupf that started it all.
