NOVA stands for modern, honest and product-focused cuisine, where the essentials take centre stage: the product itself. Head chef Christoph Hartmann combines precise craftsmanship with his great passion for high-quality products and a respectful approach to animals and nature. As a passionate hunter, he brings a special closeness to the product – from selection to preparation.
Tasting Menu and Matching Wine Pairing at NOVA in Basel
At NOVA Restaurant, the shared experience takes centre stage. A multi-course tasting menu is served, available either with meat and fish or as a vegetarian option. Each course tells its own story and reflects Christoph Hartmann’s signature style: reduced, precise and full of flavour. The matching wines from our carefully curated wine list with over 500 selections accompany the individual courses.
We serve exclusively in the evening from Wednesday to Saturday in our newly designed indoor spaces on the first floor of the Kunsthotel.

Restaurant NOVA is open for you in the evening from Wednesday to Saturday.
Please note our service times for food: We are happy to serve hot dishes from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Last orders are taken at 9:00 p.m. The restaurant closes at around midnight.
