Basel is easy to reach. By air, choose one of the many international airlines and land at EuroAirport, 10 minutes by car from the Teufelhof. You can reach EuroAirport or the nearby Zürich airport from all European airports and from over 200 intercontinental destinations.
Basel is also a central transport hub in Europe and offers excellent connections via its three main railway stations. Teufelhof Basel is seven minutes from SBB station, right in the middle of Basel's old town.
The way to the Teufelhof by tram
At the SBB railway station, take tram line 11 towards «St-Louis Grenze» or line 8 towards «Weil am Rhein» and travel to the «Barfüsserplatz» stop. There, change to tram line 3 towards «Burgfelderhof». Get off at the «Musikakademie» stop. You will find the Teufelhof 50 m further on the right-hand side.
The way to the Teufelhof by car
Use motorway exit BASEL SÜD/CITY, follow signs for Bahnhof SBB, then at Bahnhof SBB follow signs for UNIVERSITÄTSSPITAL/SPALENTOR. You will pass through the Bahnhofplatz underpass and then over a viaduct. After the viaduct, turn right at the third traffic light and follow the signposting for „Hotel Teufelhof“. If you turn into Leonhardsgraben, you will find Teufelhof after about 100 m on the left-hand side.
The private parking for our hotel guests is a few minutes' walk from the hotel. To unload your luggage, you may briefly park your car in the driveway. If you should need a parking space, please reserve one in advance at our reception. For short-term parking, we recommend the nearest public car park: Parkhaus Steinen (Steinenschanze 5, 4051 Basel).

Booking, arrival and departure
The Teufelhof Basel is located in the old town at Leonhardsgraben 47–49, 4051 Basel, Schweiz. From Basel SBB station, the hotel can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes. Alternatively, guests can travel by public transport, taxi or car. The hotel provides detailed route information in its arrival information.
From Basel SBB railway station, you can take tram lines 8 or 11 to Barfüsserplatz. From there, you can walk to Teufelhof Basel or take tram line 3 for one stop to the Musik-Akademie stop. Alternatively, bus line 30 is mentioned as going to the Steinenschanze stop; from there it is about a five-minute walk.
Regular check-in at Teufelhof Basel is guaranteed from 15:00. Guests can leave their luggage at the hotel in the morning and explore Basel before checking into their room. An earlier room check-in can be arranged individually with the reservations department and depends on availability.
The hotel entrance is closed at midnight for security reasons. If you arrive after 24:00, please use the bell to the right of the entrance door. Our night porter will open the entrance for you.
Check-out at Teufelhof Basel is scheduled for no later than 12:00 on the day of departure. Guests can leave their luggage at the hotel if needed. Anyone wishing to use the room for longer should arrange a late check-out with reception in advance.
